Bed Construction | Our convertible cribs use the same drop-in bed rail hardware found on adult beds. It’s sturdy and easy to use, and easy to take apart if you ever decide to move. |
Case Construction | Casegoods follow typical current construction, which is to use a solid wood face frame (typically poplar or rubberwood), with veneered MDF in the large flat panels, such as the sides and top. All the composite wood products (MDF, particleboard, plywood) we use comply with California CARB Phase 2 standards for formaldehyde content. This means they already comply with the upcoming federal limits on formaldehyde emissions. Cribs are solid hardwood, typically poplar. Occasionally the factory will use rubberwood in place of poplar for some components (never slats). The only exception to the solid wood rule is cribs with a panel headboard. These use MDF in the panels, with a cherry or walnut veneer on both sides. |
